Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Thank YOU!

This will be my last post for the year as I now take a 2 week break over the festive season.

So, firstly, I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and I hope you have a Happy New Year whatever you are doing and wherever you may be.

Most importantly though, I would like to thank you for all the support you have shown me by continuing to read these posts and follow my news.  Without you, I wouldn’t have the drive to push myself so hard with my music.

Some of you, of course (who also receive my newsletters) have also joined me in my facebook group where I have got to know you better, and that has been wonderful – I feel as though I have made some deep and lasting friendships through it.  If you haven’t joined me there then please know that you are welcome at any time – just pop in your best e-mail address after clinking on the join link on the page here: Laini’s Beach Shack Facebook Group

And, if you’re not a facebook person (I know many people aren’t) but you would like to receive my newsletters, then you can sign up here Laini’s Newsletters

2018 has been momentous year for me in that I have finished recording my second album (which I was beginning to wonder would ever happen!) and I am really looking forward to finally sharing that with you in the New Year.  I just have the artwork and music video etc to prepare before I can release it, but it really is not far away now!

For the next  2 weeks though I am going to chill.  It will be a very quiet Christmas for us this year – no family or friends – just the 2 of us – which I am actually really looking forward to.

We plan to take the time for some gentle excursions out on Dream Catcher as we slowly start getting used to boating once again.

Two weeks ago we had out first trip out on her since Peter’s paragliding accident over a year ago, and it felt wonderful!  This is a photo Peter took of me at the helm.

We are planning to move back on board in February and these next 2 weeks will be a good test of how we go (after over a year of being land-locked in a house).

So, from some quiet little anchorage somewhere I will raise a glass and think of you, wherever you are in the world and whatever you are doing – whether it be enjoying the festive time with your family and friends; or, perhaps, as we are, having a quiet time, maybe alone, or with your partner.

Until next year, take care

Laini xx
